It was an amazing experience. First meal right after the flight and it was the perfect dinner to have. Service was perfect, the waiters were kind, polite, smiling, pleasant. Food was amazing, filling for sure, incredibly tasty and well presented. The wine match proposed was so good as well. We finished the meal with a local grog, it was so delicious. We enjoyed from A to Z the moment, thanks a lot and looking forward to come back to your place.
We had a truly wonderful experience at Parasztkonyha Restaurant. From the moment we arrived, everything felt welcoming and enjoyable. The food was absolutely delicious full of flavor and clearly prepared with care. Best desert ever A special thank you to Eva, our waiter, who made the experience even better. She was incredibly kind, friendly, and attentive, and her warm service really stood out. The other guy helped me with my travel bag, very kind. The service overall was top-notch, easily one of the best we’ve had. The only small thing worth mentioning is the bathroom hygiene, which could use a bit more attention. Aside from that, everything was amazing and beyond our expectations. We truly enjoyed our time here and would happily return. Highly recommended!
This was my first experience here in Budapest and oh my God, the staff at this restaurant are so polite and fun! I absolutely loved it! I’m from Brazil and I was very well taken care of by Eva! Tip: If you’re very hungry, come to this restaurant! And if you want to share the dishes, it’s also a great option, because the food is authentic Hungarian and the portions are very generous!
Waiting 45mins to get seated inside was definitely worth it! We were there around 15h on Sunday and there were people already waiting for the table. Highly reccommend getting a reservation. The staff was super friendly and even served us hot tea while waiting. The authentic hungarian food was exquisite and plenty, we almost couldn't finish. Dessert was perfect too!
The food was incredible! This place is best for authentic Hungarian food. Portions are really big, taste is fantastic, service is amazing. We had our waiter Jenci who was so helpful in helping us pick dishes, and he recommended the cabbage dish filled with meat which was delicious. We also ordered the chicken dumplings and it was also very tasty. Would highly recommend! Best dinner we have had in Budapest.
A great place both for a meal after an intense day of sightseeing and for a date. Delicious stews with a well-chosen selection of wines. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. On Saturday evening there was a queue for tables inside, but outdoor tables were available immediately—even in winter it was comfortable thanks to blankets and outdoor heaters. Definitely a 5/5 place.
SUCH A GEM WITH GREAT FOOD AND SERVICE! Chanced upon this place one evening and there was a queue, so we waited for 30 minutes. While queueing, another group of diners left and told all of us standing in the queue that “it was well worth the wait”. This could not be more true. From the moment we stepped in, the service was 150/100, right till the moment we left. It’s so refreshing to find such service in Budapest. We really felt well taken care of and had a great time. The food was impeccable. We had the chicken paprikash and the dish with pasta, cottage cheese and sausage. The waiters went the extra mile to give us some local Hungarian chilli because he learned that we like spice. This truly felt like a homemade meal. So comforting. We ended with the Hungarian trifle and two Palinkas. What an experience! I’d highly recommend this to everyone.

The menu is a delightful exploration of Hungarian cuisine, offering the top 20 traditional dishes. You can truly taste the love and tradition in every bite. Our experience was further elevated by our wonderful server, Eva. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive, and she provided excellent recommendations tailored to our preferences. Eva’s friendly demeanor and attentive service made us feel like valued guests, enhancing our overall experience. She took the time to share insights about the dishes and even suggested a fantastic after dinner that perfectly complemented our meal. Very charming and friendly staff all around! The staff were extremely friendly, attentive and welcoming. They took the time to explain the dishes and even taught us a little Hungarian, which was a lovely touch. The food was excellent and very good value for money. The space is beautifully decorated, with background music at a pleasant volume that allows conversation at the table. The dishes were delicious and the portions were generous. We absolutely loved it and highly recommend this place.
